COMMUNITY PROJECT

Gender Inequality is our topic for Somersfield Academy's Annual Community Project Fair

Our goal for our community project was to help raise awareness on gender inequality that takes place in sports. We decided on this topic because we are all extremely athletic and have each experienced gender inequality that we feel should be brought to the attention of local citizens in our area and people all over the world. We interviewed 4 different public figures that represent different aspects of multiple sports and we received a wide variety of resources, information, and opinions from the very best of the sports industry in our country. Our goal was to create a website and  a speech/presentation for our annual  Community project fair. We really want to help raise awareness locally and internationally on our chosen topic (Gender Inequality in Sports) because we feel it is important for people to understand and notice that this is a worldwide issue that can and must be changed.
